Mother and Son

If you read the previous post you'll know I've been moaning about how busy my may has been but I have managed to squeeze in a challenge for Artastic - just before the deadline. The challenge this month is the painting Mother and Sarah admiring the Baby by Mary Cassatt.

Shazza's extra criteria were
1. a single photo of a mother and baby- this one has me and Arthur
2. something orange ( I managed a few orange bits - tape, butterfly, flower and my last bit of orange baker's twine)
3. lace- well I added crochet ribbon as it was all I had
Here's the painting

  1. this is gorgeous, love the photo, and a gorgeous design, just loving this

  2. Karen, this is just stunning, I love the circle and the butterflies float over it, I also love the use of white space or and love layouts that are in the bottom corners not sure why but they lead my eye there more...this is stunning. Melxx

  3. Your layout is stunning and what a wonderful photo! I love the big circle with the butterflies, all the beautiful embellishments and the stapling.

  4. Love this LO Karen, i think you are on winner with the butterflies and the circle.. I love it too.

  5. Such a pretty LO! I love the circle and the butterflies flying around on it. The cluster of flowers and lace ribbon are very pretty. Twine and lace ribbon are two of my favs to use on LO's and cards. Your picture is absolutely adorable! Thank you for joining us over at ARTastic!
