Well if you've arrived here you've arrived at the end of the Child's Play Blog hop. If you haven't started at the beginning you can get there here.
The favourite thing I have scrapped about is my daughter's favourite present from last year. She loves her roller skates, she wears them round the house on our wooden floors and loves to pull back the rugs and skate across the floors. She has even been seen watching TV standing on them ( the photo you can see in the picture)
Some of us are offering a little prize on the blog hop. Leave a comment here and I will send one person a selection of Project Life cards. I will pick a winner at the end of the month.
So now you need to go back to the beginning and let us know you've visited all the stops. use our ideas as inspiration and you could be winning a prize form Child's Play. Get back the the beginning here.

Liberty
On our trip to New York we were amazingly lucky with the weather- the skies were vibrant blue as you can see with this photo of the Statue of Liberty. For this LO I used an embellishment I had with the subway map on it. It is stuck down very carefully so the tickets can be slotted in behind without sticking them down- in case I want to get them out ever.

special delivery
Over the Summer, when Prince William and Kate had their baby, Prince George, Nancy drew a picture and sent it to Buckingham Palace. In return she got a lovely thank you card in a special envelope postmarked Buckingham Palace.

the view project life seven
Another LO with a project life card slotted behind the pictures.
This LO is about the view from the gala dinner we went to in New York. It was held on the 40th floor of World Trade building seven in the New York Academy of Science. We arrived before sunset so we had great views of New York by day and night. The pictures showthe Wollworth Building, the Brooklyn Bridge and Trinity Church.

best seats project life 6
This LO has a large project life card behind the photo mixed with some other journaling card items in similar colours. When my children visit the cinema their absolute favourite place to sit is the back row, right in the middle across the aisle.

me and the ants project life 5
This LO only has one Project Life card on it tucked behind the paper and photos.
The photo is from Twycross Zoo toilets. Yes the toilets. They have a mirror in front of the sinks as usual but the mirror is behind a leaf cutter ant house. So when you look in the mirror the ants are in front of you. I could not resist a photo.

Drenthe project life week 4
For this LO I used seven project life cards and placed them in a pattern across the page with a 3x4 photo in the mix too. I round the corners so it fitted with the cards. Three of the cards have added embellishments, one has the title and another the journalling

Como project life week 3
More Project life cards. This time I layered two together and then embellished over the top with the title on. The photo is also matted onto a project life card.

face paint project life week 2
I am trying to use up some of my Project Life cards and mini card papers because I am very unlikely to actually have time for a whole project life album. This LO uses three cards with a cut down picture of Nancy in her face paint

share the umbrella
This LO is for the latest challenge at Scrap it With a Song. This week it is Freiens by Aura Dione. I chose the line"sharing a raincoat in the wind" as my inspiration. I used a photo of two of my children sharing an umbrella in the rain- as close as I could get to sharing a rain coat in the wind. Nancy is wearing a rain coat as well to tie in with the lyric. This month the design team are all using digital images on our LOs as well. I used the little bear with a heart which I printed into coloured paper and then stuck onto foam tape.

top of the Rock
I have SO many photos from New York to scrap that it may take me years. We went to New York on our honeymoon , in a time before I scrapped, and I haven't got round to scrapping those either.
Last time we went we went up the Empire State Building at night and the World Trade Centre tower. this time we decided to go up to the top pf the Rockefeller Plaza which has the added benefit of a good view of the Empire State building.
I used bakers twine and some punched out leftover dots to mark out and label the key sights on the photo, including Times Square, the new World Trade Centre tower and the Statue of Liberty.

Mad science
This LO is for my design team at Scrap it with a Song, however we are not scrapping a song this time around. instead we are using the movie poster from the Nightmare Before Christmas as our inspiration.
I used the big swirl on the poster and the colours to make a LO about my two sons and their friend doing science experiment at the Science Museum Nemo in Amsterdam.

risk
this LO is for the design team at Child's Play. The challenge this week is the board game Risk.
i took the idea of the maps and stamped a map onto four squares of different paper which I layered up onto a map paper with planes. this was perfect for the photo I took on the plane on the way to New York. We were flying business class because it was a special award trip and I had four windows all to myself. Four. Although you can only see three in the photo!

scrapping with non scrappy supplies #7 map again
I know I have already used a map in my non scrappy supplies LOs but I wanted to use this one differently. On our last day in New York we visited MOMA and then took the subway down to the Seaport Area. this is the map of the walk we took that afternoon before we went to the airport.
1. Subway stop
2. Pier 17
3. Pearl Diner for lunch ( Pastrami snadwich on rye for me. Philly cheesesteak for my husband)
4. across to Broadway
5. Past the International Culinary centre where we had lunch the day before
6. across to Washington square- ice cream sandwich
7. up to Union Square
8. Back down Broadway to the next Subway stop

scrapping with non scrappy supplies #6 business card
(sorry if you read this bit yesterday)
I have had a little bit of a scrappy blogging nightmare over recent days. OUr main PC died on me, just shut itself down and refused to start up again. I had internet access on my Ipad, and I had my laptop from work, i had a working camera as well but without the PC i had no way of getting my pictures off the SD card and into blogger. My lap top doesn't have an SD card slot, so I have been unable to continue with my planned schedule of non scrappy supplies.
while we were in New York we visited the branch of the Magnolia Bakery that is in Bloomingdales. I initially thought about scrapping with the bag ( below) but it was just wrong, to thick, too big or too small depending on how i thought about using it. so instead on this LO I used one of the business cards I picked up in the shop.
the LO is about my choice of cup cake- peanut butter and jelly.

this LO is for the sketch challenge at Sarah's cards.
we have recently got back from a trip to New York and on two days we were able to have buffet breakfast in the hotel organised by the company ( we were there because my husband had won an award)
these were my two favourite bits of the breakfast and of course I had both- on both days.
there was a bagel bar so I had to have bagels with cream cheese, salmon, onion and capers.
I also loved the french toast with vanilla bean sauce and fresh fruit. YUM.

Scrapping with unscrappy supplies, #5 tickets
while we were in New York recently we went to the New York Yankees to watch a game. i've used a picture of the game in progress and our evening meals. i've also added in our tickets.
for any of you that know about baseball we were there on "bobblehead night" when the free bobblehaeds of Mariano Rivera were due to be given out on the gate and they didn't turn up. when we left the queue to pick them up contained thousands of people and snaked half way round the stadium and all the way from the top level down to the bottom.

non scrappy supplies #4- leaflets
when we visited MOMA while in New York my husbandwas horrified to see me pick up the maps in every single language they had. they looked so pretty in rainbow order that i couldn't resist them.
there is no problem with taking pictures in the gallery so this is one of my husband walking on one of the pieces of art. He gets really annoyed about art like this, paving slabs on the gallery floor. so when he saw the sign "please feel free to walk on the art work" he was only to happy to oblige

Lullaby by the Cure
I made these two LOS for the DT at Scrap it With a Song. The inspiration is from a song that I love but is quite trivky to scrap. its by the Cure and its called Lullaby.
I chose the line candy stripe legs as my inspiration- the song has lots about the spiderman so on the first i made a web out of bakers twine. Nancy in the ppicture has stripy legs for her halloween costume.
this second is also inspired by the candystripe legs. this time i used a picture of an actual spider. i took the photo through our window as this spider was spinning its web across the pane of glass.
the title is candy srtipe leg8. i had run out of s on my stickers so i substituted an 8. normally i would have colured it in a little bit so it looked like a s but with it being a spider, with eight legs, i decided to leave the title as it was.
non scrappy supplies#3 bingo
i bought these bingo game tickets in Holland- they come in massive packs and a variety of different colours
i used one on this LO
the photo is of the GE building ( Rocerfeller Plaza) in New York taken from the window of the MOMA art gallery.

non scrappy supplies #2 note book
This was one of those block note things to stick by the phone that I bought in Ikea. They had them in a range of colours but I went for blue. Below you can see how I used it on a LO.
This LO has lot of bits of scrap strip layered together at the bottom. The photo is Stanley on the way to our summer holiday. He is wearing the knotted hankie that he got for free at the Ashes Cricket match he went to in Manchester.

Scrapping with unscrappy supplies #1 maps
Ok. So another week another theme on the blog. This week I am looking at using non scrappy supplies on my LO. I'm not to bothered about things being acid fee etc. I just like thing to be pretty .
When we visited Alnwick Garden in the summer we were given these beautiful maps of the garden, drawn and on thick matt paper, not thin shiny stuff like you often get at an attraction. This had to he incorporated into a LO.
The photo is from the walled, ornamental garden that you can see at the top of the map.

Ombré week 7 brown
Ha ha. I forgot to post yesterday. This started as a brown ombré strip across the bottom but I added more buts and labels so it doesn't quite look as it should. Still I'm quite happy with the effect.

Ombré week 6 yellow
For this one I punched a variety of squares and lined them up across the page. The phot is Nancy with her little cousin "sharing" a ride in one of those little rides at the supermarket. There is a little lightbulb paper clip on there that I bought at Wilkos.

Ombré week5 orange
With my orange ombré I made a pie chart type semi circle of bits of paper and then punched butterflies to sit on the semi circle and fly out of it as well

Ombré week 4 black grey
for this LO I used lots of strips of black and grey, where I did not have a long strip of a certain paper I just stcuk in a small square of the paper in the right kind of position. the photo id the bell on my bike. if you look closely you can see me reflected in the bell.

Ombré week green
I thought the shades of green went well with the mint choc chip ice cream ( as did the cheaper than therapy paper). We visit Northumberland for our holidays and there is a great ice cream parlour there called Morwick, it's based on their farm and you can see the cows that produce the milk for the ice cream. Yum.

Ombre Week- #2 Barbie Girl
This LO is for my Ombré week but its also for the latest challenge at Child's play. The challenge this week is Barbie and my immediate thought was not to use the doll on the LO but instead use the photos I took of my Sister's Barbie Tattoos. She has two vintage style tattoos of Barbie on her legs.

Ombre week #1 blue
My latest theme is Ombré. I may be a bit behind the times with this one but I thought it wold be a fun thing to try out. A few years ago there was a bit of a thing about paint chips and I thought I'd use up some of the stash that I collected then. I love these ones as they were picked up in a shop in Holland called Karwei. They also have stores in Belgium so the paint names are in French and Dutch. Luckily I had a few of the same paint chip so I could spread them across the page.
I thought the blues colours looked great with the blue sky of the photo. I took this picture with Hipstamatic on our summer holiday.

Neutral week #21 this is me?
I thought that it would be fun to use a paper full of photos of people with a drawing of me. Nancy made this portrait of me for Mothers' Day. I photographed it and now it's my profile picture on Facebook. She has drawn me with tears rolling down my face but she assures me it is because I am happy.
Oh and this is the last of my neutrals. Get ready for something else next week.

Neutral week #20 big brothers
I started looking through some old photos and came across this one of my three looking like tiny little dots in comparison to their size now. They look so cute all squeezed together in the chair.

Neutral week #19 getting better
The photo is clearly of an empty plate, the story behind it is that while we were on holiday this May, nancy started clearing her plate of food, almost unheard of in normal circumstances. We were shocked as she was eating more than the boys. Worth documenting.

Neutral week #18 relax
The photo on this LO is Nancy laying on the garden path playing the harmonica in her sheds, just chilling.
This houndstooth paper is the perfect fit for the pink colours of Nancy's dress and shades.

Neutral week #17 last night
This photo was from our very last night in the Netherlands before we moved back to the UK. It's not a great photo, I was trying to take a picture of us gathered round the lights in the pavement but at least Nancy looks cute.

Neutral week #16 hot Summer
This is a really old paper from October Afternoon. I love that you can layer lots of bright colours on it because it is black and white.
The photo is from last years summer holiday, the weather was scorching 37degrees. Unbearable for me but fine if you went in the pool.

Neutral week #15 pyjama cricket
During the Februaury half term holiday the boys took to playing cricket in the conservatory in the morning before they got dressed, hence the title of the LO. Don't worry they were using a tennis ball and no windows were broken.

neutral week # 14 School
I absolutely adore map papers. They are very versatile and perfect as background papers. This is a new one from the October Afternoon Travel Girl Line. I love that it is black and white so lots of bright colours can go with it.
The photos are of the children's school in Hilversum. I took some pictures at they end of our stay to remind them of where they went to school. These pictures show the school building itself and the bike park with the hundreds of students bikes.
I also used some stickers that came from the Dutch supermarket. They often had freebies and these stickers came with the football stickers that you collect in an album.

neutral week #13 Lords
Music paper is always a good background paper and I love epwhen there are loads of options around to buy.
Stanley is a big cricket fan so he was super thrilled to go on a tour of the home of cricket, Lords, in London. This is him with the pavillion and Long Room in the background

mr cute
this LO is for White With One's latest challenge- white and Pistachio. I recently reprint a few of my favourite old photos and I adore this picture of Arthur as a toddler with his little kissy face on.
Neutral week # 12 brotherly love
And still I go on. This paper is really bold print but I think it works well as a background paper. This photo is of Nancy and her big brother. He is very protective of her and I think it shows in this picture.

Neutral week #11 10 Roompot Lunchtime Essentials
So my fourth kind of neutral background is ledger paper. This is an old one from the Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride collection.
The LO is about our favourite lunch when we go on holiday to a Roompot in the Netherlands. We used to quite often for weekends way when we lived on Holland and we recently went back for a week. Our favourite lunch then is a snack packet. This involves
1. A bucket of chips
2. Frikandels
3. Krokkets
4. Soft rolls
5. Mad Sauce
6. Ketchup
7. Mustard
8. Appelmousse
9. Mayonnaise
10. Curry sauce
