Most likely to three

When you have three children you can't get away with making only one Lo for this the latest Journaling Junkie challenge

Here is Stanley's

Most likely to
1. Let someone else try it first. ( Arthur or Nancy)
2. Play on the Wii or computer or DSi
3. write poetry
4. be found playing sport
5. end up in Accident and Emergency
6. hide something under his bed
7. Listen to music ( on his i pod)
8. change the rules half way through a game
9. have a play date
10. save his money
11. help himself to food and drink
12. eat the dinner I made

I tried to make this one a little different to the other two by using the Sassafras Lass paper instead of lots of journalling spots

last Glee club

The Soul Scrappers Glee Club has reached its final week- and this week it's back to something I know about- Golden Oldies in particular Buddy Holly- I spent my teenage years rebelling by listening to Buddy Holly and other music from the 50 and 60s and 70s- i wore the clothe too - platform shoes, wing collars, and lots of vintage polyester!

Anyway I chose the song title everyday as my inspiration and used this old photo of my Grandad- helpfully my Nan had written 1986 on the back- he loved to sit in the sun- just inside the shed door meant he was out of the wind but had the full sun on him- it was his favourite place to sit. Even in chilly weather he could be found there when the racing wasn't on (as long as it was sunny)

to tie in with the 50s feel I used some Sassafras paper that looks to me like 50s fabric

She's not your average girl

I love to mix up papers on my LOs- if i try and use just one manufacturer or line I feel the LO looks a little flat- a bit samey IYKWIM. Anyway this is a super simple LO using the sketch from Get YOur Sketch on- but on here there are papers from six different manufacturers!

Most likely to 2

I made a second Most Likely to For Journalling Junkie- this time for Nancy

Nancy's list is

Most likely to
stay up late
sit and draw
steal my food and drink
smile for the camera
refuse her dinner
get a tattoo
take all her clothes off

I seem to be writing about her now rather than in the future- apart from the
tattoo bit! She love drawing all over her arms and legs which is why I have
added it here- I think wants to be like my sister who has quite a few!

Boys and Girls

I was reading something on the internet last week that caused me to shriek in horror. The woman in question was advising on how to deal with patterned paper and revealed that she never kept scraps of paper unless they were 6x6 or bigger. 6x6 OR BIGGER! 6x6 OR BIGGER!
My scrap draw if for me a treasure trove of tiny scrap of paper as long as they are big enough to punch a shape from or cut a thin strip of paper from i keep them

These LOs are an example with some of the little bits I keep- some tiny bits of Bam Pop paper that were between the cut outs- some very old bit of American Crafts, Sassafras Lass, KI Memories and Basic grey paper.

The first LO is for Scrap the Girls inspired by the image below

This second LO is for Scrap the Boys
The challenge is to scrap a Lo inspired by an outfit- with a photo of the outfit on the LO- i chose Stanley's school uniform- we are moving back to the UK soon and Stanley will have to go back to a uniform after nearly three years of wearing what he wants- and he'll be going to a new school so he won't wear this uniform again.

I'm standing here until you make me move!

Isn't that the perfect title for a LO about a child in a strop? well its a line in the song for the latest challenge from Scrapping the Music

The lyric was just so perfect and I have loads of pictures of my children laying on the floor refusing to move- i think they will be great to embarrass them with when they are older!

If you can't see it's Nancy refusing to leave the train museum last year. I added an old cigarette cards with a train on as an apt finishing touch.

More sketches

Stuck Sketches
I loved the way the sketch for Stuck Sketches could be shrunk down to leave some nice white space on the page- I used up and old photo that I scanned in on this LO- my parents , sister and me in about 1977. I used an October Afternoon tv sticker as embellishment because it reminded me of our family television from that time

Show us your Stuff asks you to use something hand made on your LO- this time in conjunction with a sketch- I added a stamp I bought from etsy because i wasn't sure if my die cut shapes counted- thee small brackety shape was hand cut by me - I do this a lot make a die cut shape out of card- i was thinking of telling people how to do it but I'm not sure if' it's too obvious? Anyway the Lo is some old photos of Arthur rolling in the leaves- i had them out on my desk trying to decide what to use for another challenge I made
