the one where I get over excited by new things

I got a parcel today with a new set of Martha Stewart punches in so I ended up going a little crazy and made a few very simple layouts with them. I am also now addicted to sewing ribbon on layouts hence the the layout of my Mum aged four

this is me circa 1980 with a random teddy bears tea party ( and the new punch)

Another similar layout of my daughter in my lap

This is my Mum age four and shows my other new punch and the ribbon fixation ( i love the old Anna Griffin paper I was able to put to some use)
And again with the ribbon and my Nan ( sorry about all the glare on the photos I was trying to use the last bit of sunshine in my garden which involved holding them up on the fence, hence the wood , the hand and the slightly odd angle)

the one with subdued American crafts papers

I have recently scanned in about 200 old photos and started scrapping them but they are all so brown a product of the seventies colors, bad photos and sun fading. These two are for Color Combos Galore. challenge no 148. (You can tell I got a bit over excited with the sewing machine this was my first ever effort with sewing on a layout. ) Both of these layouts use mainly American Crafts papers but I never usually create subdued colour layouts with them so I am pleased with how they turned out. I love the above picture of My Nan and Grandad they look so happy together.
This Lo is of my Nan and Grandad before they married ( her sister is next to her on the swing)
i love using snippets of the Gladys Botanique paper on LOs of Nan as that was her name and it seems so apt

the one where I struggle to find luggage labels

I only wanted a few manilla luggage labels after I used up the one I had had for about 10 years but could I find any anywhere? No . Until I looked on ebay and found them in pretty colours. How exciting.

Any way this LO is of my Nan and her bike. I find that I have so may poor quality photos ( both old and new) that I have decided to embrace them and not worry about how beautiful everyone else's photos are.

The journalling is on the aforementioned label (pink this time) and reads...

This photo brings back so many memories, I am glad someone thought to take it ( even if it was just to use up the film) My Nan rode that bike to our house every day until she was well into her 70s. She rode it laden with shopping, she rode it to work. She never learnt to drive so it was this or the bus. And in the background my bike with the wonkey seat. c. early 1980s

supplies
various American crafts papers, letterbox, heatwave and craft fair plus the Dear Lizzy bike i had been saving

and the reason why there are two pictures? well I wanted to enter the American Crafts Studio Blog challenge but the challenge was to add two or more thickers accents so I added some more, being new to this I can't work out how to remove the other photo!

the one with my favourite photo ( maybe)

I have scrapped this photo a few times already and have not yet tired of it, I have a huge version that I can't decide what to do with yet but just wait, it will be here soon. The title of the LO is "one thousand words" . I got a bit over excited with a new punch and my scrap box bit I'm pleased with the overall finish ( but not with the photo of the LO, it does look better than this)

the one where I fell of my chair

Well here I am, but I'm not sure why. I have just started applying for design team membership on various scrapbooking sites and it is taken as read that you have your own blog so here is mine. I hope someone wants to read it.

This is a LO of Nancy and her Dad relaxing watching TV. This has become one of my first DT posts as a member of Journalling Junkie ( now if only I can work out how to link things all will be well)

And yes I did fall of my chair as I sat down to try and write this.
