London Eye

Scrap Our Stash is into its new routine now. At the beginning of the month the is a stash challenge and half way through the month is a sketch challenge.

It's is my LO for the sketch challenge, but it goes further than just a sketch you also need to add some stash and this time it's mixed alphas. If you want to see the sketch hop on over to the blog by following the link at the side

My LO has three pictures of Arthur enjoying a trip on the London Eye. He loves to go on it every time we visit London.

snap

Nancy was using the camera to take a picture of me on the London Eye. The LO is for the latest challenge at Kraft it up based on a sketch

giggle

This LO is for Shimelle's sketch challenge. The photo is of me and the children reflected in a window. While we were on holiday in France we walked past the window every day and being a mirrored window we had to dance in front of it and then joke that someone woes sitting behind it eating their lunch. On our last day we had to pose in front of the window

tate modern

The photos are from our trip to London and the Tate Modern. We crossed the bridge from St Paul's and the kids loved running around in the Turbine Hal. Mind you they didn't like the paintings much.

This LO is for the white with one challenge this month. White with brown and doodling. I used a felt pen and th slid to make the circle. Hope that counts.

watching the Paralympics

I take too many photos I think sometimes. And then I print them. So then I am left with a MASSIVE pile of photos of the same thing. So I am trying to get some quick Los made to use up those photos and the piles of paper I have.

This LO has a photo from inside the Olympic Stadium when we went to see the Paralympics. I used a piece of American crafts camera paper I had not got round to using.

up in the air

Just a quick post a LO inspired by October Afternoon blog but I used American Crafts paper. The LO Nancy on the London Eye

True Blue

There is a colourful challenge at Scrap it With a Song at the moment. This week it's True Blue by Madonna. I decided just to go with a blue themed LO. I tucked in a little bit of pink at the end to reflect the colour of the biscuits and lift the LO a little. Nancy loves a chance to cook , she likes to mix and lick the bowl out, she adores cutting out biscuits but she can get a little bored with putting cupcake mix into the cases. She usually gives up on that and just comes back when the is mixture to lick

Flake OUt

This photo makes me laugh. Nancy was really tired but in this photo she was only pretending to be asleep. She's quite good at fake sleeping. I always remember being caught out because I would screw my eyes up really tight not actually look natural.

This is Nancy at the Tate Modern gallery in London

you and me

I was determined last week to make loads of LOs and use up some paper. It's was an attempt to use paper that I liked the look of and then wondered how to use it when I actually got it home.

I think it looks quite good with the colour and grainy nature of the selfish photo .

school hair

I am almost embarrassed to post this. A very super quick 10 minute LO. The photo shows Nancy's favourite school hairstyle. Don't ask me why.

playground

OK so it might not look like it but this LO is inspired by Sesame Street for Child's Play challenge. I used a photo of the numbers on the school playground. It's where I stand on the playground when I'm waiting to pick up my children. I took it surreptitiously a few week's ago while I was waiting. I pretended to check my texts on the phone.

I thought that the papers were good for a Sesame Street LO. The blue paper has the days of the week on and the apple paper reminds me of school and A is for Apple

special moment

This LO has a photo on it that I found on the Internet. When we went to the Paralympics in the summer one of the medal winners turned up in McDonald's with her friends and her medal. Nancy told me she had touched the medal but I didn't get a photo. Anyway I was on the Internet looking for the name of the medal winner and I found this photo. I think it might be Nancy for a number of reasons
1. The person touching the medal looks short
2. The hand looks little
3. The person is left handed and so is Nancy

Secret Garden

There is a really lovely challenge at From Screen to Scrap this month. The inspiration comes from the poster for Secret Garden. The extra criteria are garden photos, a cluster of flowers and a garden embellishment. This was the hardest element for me but I'm hoping the paper will count as it looks to me. Lot like a garden fence .

The photo is Nancy in her grandparents garden, there is a. Secret pathway behind a tree that Nancy likes to hide in.

Hello london

I love LOs that use up scraps of paper, it's great when you can stretch a favourite sheet of paper over a number of pages. This LO was inspired by the quilting type LOs around at the moment and in particular one I saw on the Studio Calico blog.

The photos are just two more of the many many I took last summer when we visited London and toured round trying to find the London 2012 mascots that were dotted around
