what a bad photo of my LO this is- didn't realise until I uploaded it and now I can't face another shoot.
Using Shimelle's starting point- a picture looking over Nancy's shoulder while she drew on the "beach" last year- we were at a beach by a lake- hence the grass by her feet

In my Life- Scrap it with a song
I love the song that Scrap it With a Song have for the latest challenge- IN MY Life- By the Beatles- mind you I love all Beatles songs!
My MUm loved the Beatles too and we had to chose a song for her funeral- this was nearly it,
I chose to make a LO with my Mum in ti- but its not about my Mum exactly- I chose to use the LIne- "there are Places I remember" and I used a photo which is as much about the background as my Mum.
the journalling talks about the fact that I wish I had some photos of places from my childhood- I mean photos of our house, our lounge, our kitchen, my bedroom, just them on thier own instead of being the background ( slightly blurred and not enough of it in photos of the people
Note to self- take photos of our rooms to remind the children in the future

strop- child's play
this LO is for the latest challenge at Child's play- the challenge is to use the book- Are you my Mother?- shown below
I decided to use a number of things from the book
1. the colour
2. the white title
3. the book shape
4. the yellow hint at the bottom
5. the white circle at the top- with red in
6. the horizontal figure across the front
the horizontal figure turned it into a LO about Arthur- he had a strop on a picnic table on holiday last year - of course I had to take photo before I dealt with the strop

socks and sandals
I made this for the sketch challenge at Sarah's cards. I used only one photo but otherwise kept to the LO- I used one of my hipstamatic photos that I printed out- I took it last week with my new phone- its a picture of Nancy wearing her silver sandals with teal tights ( technically not socks but they were woolly tights)

May I
the latest challenge at Scrap OUr Stash is a good one. Its called MAy I- you need to scraplift someone else- but ask nicely first!
Here's mine- I chose to Scraplift Sahsa Farina and I used the LO below as inspiration
because I loved the butterfly and the sweep of things across her page but I was also inspired by other LOs and used her layering techniques, her long titles with a mix of letters and her small photos in B and W and the grouping of buttons and brads
this is a link to her blog

I'm attached to my I phone already
Indeed I am- I love the photo bits the most- Hipstamatic and Instagram are adorable- this was the second photo I took on my phone- the first was of my lounge to see how it went before I tried Nancy- I just LOVE it - need to work out how to print them yet so I took a photo on my normal camera and printed that out
This LO is for the colour challenge at Crate Paper- white, orange and aqua

ballet show
unashamedly this a copy of a LO I adored from the Crate paper blog- so pretty was the original ( and I don't say mine is as good) that I had to recreate it. Mine is a quick version- the gorgeous original had lots of stitching ( that I didn't have time for) and lots of embellishments ( that I never buy) but I'm pleased with this

I don't like cricket
the latest challenge at Artastic inspired me to make this LO- they have a painting- seen below called the Cricketers so I made this LO of Arthur in his cricket gear. He is the world's best at giving things up- so a matter of days after I took this photo and he said he wanted to be a cricketer when he grew up he decided he didn't want to go to cricket practice anymore- hence the title 9day wonder- maybe by next week he'll have changed his mind again- probably
Edit
A week after he said he was giving up Cricket- forever we persuaded him to go again- he won the bowling trophy for best bowler and was so excited again- following week- cancelled because of rain so we had one disappointed boy on our hands- who knows what will happen next week
freckle nose
this is for the challenge at White With ONe- - this month it is white with cream and chipboard- I'm presuming some chipboard letters count- I was very limited to my title- I only have one set of cream letters and they are running out but I managed to make the word nose to go with this picture and then I stamped freckle as well

I will always love you
Scrap it with a song have another challenge- this month the theme is memorial songs and they have chosen "I will Always love you" as the first.
I chose a picture of NAncy and then layered it up with lots of tags and bits to make a central column
