late picnic

this one is for the challenge over at Sassfras Lass- its a sketch ( see below) and they ask you to use 90% Sassafras Lass products which is a challenge in itself. there's a variety of Sassafrass Lines on here but that tree paper on the left hand side is from a Sesame street book that I bought specifically to cut up for scrapbooking- its in German so I'm not depriving my children by destroying it- It was left over unwanted at the end of the book sale at schoolthe sketch

Wedding Celebration- Twisted 100

its the 100th sketch celebration over at Twisted sketches at the moment- Anam has a great sketch this week and the twist is celebrate- any way any how- go the Twisted site and find the sketch HEREI chose a wedding celebration- mine - but managed to leave out my husband! this was one of the photos taken with my Mum and Sister before the wedding- I wanted to celebrate both my wedding and my Mum- who is no longer with us.

sorry about this photo- there is a strange reflected shadow of the camera strap on it- I promise it's not on the one on the Twisted site! LOL

Some NSD challenges- actually only one

I'm a bit tired- hence the fact that the blog title doesn't reflect what is actually in the post. I thought I'd tried a few NSD challenges it turns out I haven't - yet

So what do I have? Lots of sketches- but I'm too tired to cut and paste all the sketches in- all the LOS are linked up to the sites so go and have a look of you want

On our holiday last week we stayed in two different places- the first in Limburg had a little trundle truck with the cottage- the photo is my three of for an adventure- a little explore round the grounds!

this little barbecue is an essential item on holiday- we picked it up in the sale at the garden centre last year but we have used it so much- James has barbecued in the dark, in the rain, in below freezing weather and this week in bright warm sunshine- we go away for the weekend fairly often to a holiday park and the cottages don't have an oven only a hob so its nice to have a change from pasta for dinner!

4.Stars that were supposed to be sketchy Thursday!

I started making this LO using the Sketchy Thursday guest designer JUne sketch then I realised the sketch had a picture to use for inspiration- which I had completely ignored- ah well- I carried on anyway!

All my eggs....

All my eggs in a Studio Calico basket. Having got back from holiday on Friday I had a list fo about 20 challenges I wanted to do before I went to bed! Then along came NSD and I had another list of 20 challenges I wanted to complete! LOL.

Anyway part of that long list was from studio Calico- i've combined a few of their challenges into this one LO

1. colour challenge- blue, orange, green ( and kraft) well mine doesn't have any kraft- i used white because I am literally OUT OF KRAFT- oh the horror!

2.typography- i used the excess from a sheet of alphabets

3. and tape- which I used to make the border at the bottom

and the LO- Nancy it turns out its just like me- give her the camera for 2 minutes and she has pictures of her feet- although she may have been aiming at taking a picture of her stinging nettle rash- which is why one of her trouser legs is rolled up

Sassy Lil Sketches

I was so pleased this week that we bought Stanley this camera for his birthday- it is everything proof- perfect for a small boy and you can use it under water- so perfect for the outdoor pool on a day of bright sunshine. I have loads of great underwater shots of the boys in their goggles and snorkel

Did you notice I was gone? We just got back from a week's holiday and I have so many cute photo to scrap i got started- I also have a list of about 20 challenges I want to do! Thank goodness I have until the end of the month to do some of them!

Creative Scrappers 154

these are some new photos- we visited Drenthe an area of the Netherlands famous for its hunnedbeds- ancient burial mounds- we had various long cycling trips to find as many as we could- this one was deserted so the perfect opportunity to give the self timer on the camera a go (It was me that had to run round the hunnebed , climb on and get into position before the 10 seconds were up)-this is also for Shimelle's challenge- scrapbook using patterned paper- simple

Fave Things

Julie has a great challenge for me this time- what is your favourite thing about Spring? Spring is my favourite season and what I love is the Spring flowers- from the first snowdrops, through crocuses, daffodils, tulips, bluebells ( oh how I miss the bluebell woods in England) right down to the dandelions and daisies that my children bring me in teeny tiny bunches ( or they pull the heads off and bring me a squashed handful)

Anyway i took some pictures of Nancy yesterday while we watched Stanley's last game of football. She was rolling round in the daisies so I got her to pose with them- super cute

I found this one really difficult having lost both MUm and Nan a few years ago

I started making one LO and then cut it up because I wasn't happy with it
